OKCPS Scholarship

In order to build on our role in contributing to the betterment and success of our city, ´óÏó´«Ã½ has created the OKCPS Scholarship to help make college more affordable for Oklahoma City Public Schools students. The scholarship goes into effect for the fall 2026 semester for first-year ´óÏó´«Ã½ students from OKCPS majoring in Arts & Sciences, Business or Nursing.

The scholarship, ranging from $3,000 to $5,000 in tuition per academic year, is automatically awarded to OKCPS students based on their high school GPA. The scholarship can be awarded for up to four years for students in Arts & Sciences or Business, or up to two years for students in Nursing.

The OKCPS Scholarship is renewable with a required minimum cumulative 3.0 unweighted GPA.

HIGH SCHOOL GPAAMOUNT
  3.8+   $5,000/yr
  3.4-3.79         $4,000/yr
  3.0-3.39   $3,000/yr

OKCPS Academic Success Scholarship

The OKCPS Academic Success Scholarship is stackable with the OKCPS Scholarship and can be applied during the student’s second, third and fourth years at ´óÏó´«Ã½ (for Arts & Sciences and Business) or second year (for Nursing) based on the student’s first-year ´óÏó´«Ã½ GPA. The OKCPS Academic Success Scholarship has been introduced as a way to reward OKCPS students who maintain or improve their grades at ´óÏó´«Ã½.

The OKCPS Academic Success Scholarship is renewable with a required minimum cumulative 3.0 unweighted GPA.

FIRST-YEAR ´óÏó´«Ã½ GPAAMOUNT
  3.8+   $5,000/yr
  3.4-3.79         $4,000/yr
  3.0-3.39   $3,000/yr

Both the OKCPS Scholarship and the OKCPS Academic Success Scholarship may be stacked on top of the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Academic Merit Scholarship, but may not be stacked with certain scholarships, including the Clara Luper and American Indian scholarships.

This scholarship is applicable only to students who attend Oklahoma City Public School District schools. It otherwise shares rules for deadlines, required documents and GPA with the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Academic Merit Scholarship.

Students must submit their application and all required documents* by March 1. After the deadline, scholarship amounts are not guaranteed. Full-time enrollment of 12 or more hours per semester is required for the scholarship. Awards are renewable with a required minimum cumulative 3.0 unweighted GPA. ´óÏó´«Ã½ recalculates every high school grade point average on a standard 4.0 scale.**

*Required documents include application, application essay, official high school transcript, high school counselor's recommendation form, and $55 application fee.

**All Pre-AP, Pre-IB, and Honors courses are weighted on a 4.5 point scale (A=4.5, B=3.5, C=2.5, D=1.5), and AP, IB, or Concurrent courses are weighted on a 5 point scale (A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2). Our calculation will be used for admission and scholarship purposes.
